Any natural remedies for Acid Reflux?
My throat and chest have been burning for a week non stop, is there anything that you know of that can subside the symptons?
here are a few things that worked for us. Depending on how bad your hb is. Nutrilite digestive enzyme complex works great for us. My husband has constant hb and that is what he uses along with nutrilite stomach shield. They are all natural, so there is no threat of any side effects, and they actually heal and repair so that you can eventually not suffer, and just take a tum or two here and there. Here is a site where you can find it.

Gotta check your diet. Coffee really gets me bad these days. Are you consuming anything regularly that could be doing it? That's the only remedy short of strong medicine I can suggest… Oh, and stay away from the baking soda. Regular use of that stuff is probably pretty bad for you.

papaya – in a natural form is best, but you can get the papaya enzyme tablets at a vitamin store.
Best thing to do is avoid high fat foods, fried foods, caffeine, or highly acidic foods like tomato based foods. Drink lots of water.
You can take Tums and that helps the symptoms. If it continues though, you should go see a doctor because you can do serious damage to your esophagus.

Nothing more natural than rock, mined from underground. Been around for millenia. Tums is nothing more than rock (calcium carbonate) mixed with sugar and flavor to make it go down easier.

Cumin seeds have been used in Ayurveda for along time. My mother thinks it's quite effective. I can't vouch for it myself since I don't have acid reflux myself.
A healthy life-style is probably the best deterrent for digestive problems.

Try some slippery elm bark . It can be found in a tea form in most stores. Medical Herbals. It coats your insides helps soothe burning pain. It's very thick . As a tea you can add honey. But it's pretty sweet anyway. If you can purchase the herb by itself. You just mix, a teaspoon with warm water and it comes out looking like mucus. It works. Too much you'll get the runs. Try store bought tea. Hope it helps.

Papaya enzymes are good and convenient. Slippery elm is a good solution, but stay away from all the baking soda suggestions, it only worsens the problem. Apple cider vinegar is a natutral nutrilizer.
